Prepared Parenting is a personal consultancy service offering tailored guidance to parents during the first three years of a child’s life. PP supports parents to develop skills and understanding needed nourish a connection that will allow the child to thrive. I offer genuine and compassionate support with the often-daunting task of parenting, aware that Mums and Dads are juggling multiple roles and navigating many modern day pressures.
Babies may not arrive with a manual, however there are thousands of “how to” publications on the market. Parents are understandably left wondering which to buy and when they'll find time to read them. There is no one “right” way to bring up a child, but parents often feel they should already have the answers and be able to do it on their own.
Preparing for the arrival of a child, or getting help when things seem to be unravelling, can help build the foundations for a healthy and lasting parent-child relationship - one of the best gifts to help a child navigate life. You are the most important influence on your child, let me be there for you when you feel unsure to offer caring, non-judgemental guidance.
ABOUT ME
I am passionate about children reach their full potential and enjoying a collaborative relationship with their parents. The fast pace of the technological world we live in is making it easy to lose sight of the true elements of parenting such as being in the moment with our children, trusting our instincts, enjoying nature and caring for ourselves and our family.
As a mother of two boys (now beautiful young men), a former paediatric nurse, a qualified Montessori 0-3 director with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and experienced postpartum doula I have an extensive background working with babies and children. My aim is to support your family to get the very best out of parenting and to assist you to be the parent you want to be. My principles are influenced by research into neurology and child developmental science, Montessori pedagogy, experience in supporting people through challenging stages of life and four decades of accumulated wisdom in the area of childhood development.
